AMERICORPS VISTA FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT

                                                     
 
Club Safety VISTA: Full time - This VISTA will create and implement emergency response guidelines, identify training needs, work to create safety charts, and schedule and implement safety drills. The VISTA will facilitate a safety committee of various Club staff, members, local organizations, law enforcement, etc. Additionally, they will build a business contingency and IT/cyber security plan.  This VISTA Assignment Description (VAD) can be found here: Club Safety VAD
 
Quality Assurance VISTA: Full time - This VISTA will work with Club Administration to ensure that we are meeting standards set forth by our national organization, use feedback from various data sources to improve our level of service to our members, and ensure that requirements of grants and programs are met at the highest level of integrity. The VISTA will work with Club Directors and Administration to administer a peer assessment as recommended by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This assessment would be administered at each site, with debriefing to occur upon completion, as well as an action plan put in place for each Club to put into place as they move forward. This VISTA Assignment Description (VAD) can be found here: Quality Assurance VAD
 
Health & Wellness VISTA: Full time - This VISTA will develop a tool to evaluate our food program, oversee our garden to table initative, work with community partners to create learning opportunities for our members including food prep, yoga, strength and condition, etc. They would also develop an intramural sports program to engage members across Club locations in participation in league activities that promote good sportsmanship, fun, and physical activities. This VISTA Assignment Description (VAD) can be found here: Health & Wellness VAD
 
Teen Services VISTA: Full time - This VISTA will work to build membership at our Teen Center by developing a recruitment and retention plan. The focus will be offering high quality programming that engages the members both within the Club and in their community, offers the members activities that help them to begin developing plans for their future beyond high school, and takes them to college campuses/trade schools, etc. so that they may find a track that excites them. They VISTA will collaborate with an advisory team they develop to increase communication and build capacity within the community, in hopes of further developing partnerships that can aid in the development of our members. This VISTA Assignment Description (VAD) can be found here: Teen Services VAD

Manager of First Impressions: Part-time Non-Exempt - A vital position that provides the first impression of who and what The Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka is.
