BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT

Administrator of Teen Services: Full-time Exempt - Responsible for the effective management of Boys & Girls Club of Topeka Teen Center.  Ensuring that middle school and high school students have access to and participate in afterschool and summer programs that prepare them for post-secondary education and career opportunities. Literacy Director: Full-time Exempt - Implements & manages reading enrichment programs designed specifically for use in out-of-school environments. Increase Club member’s motivation to read and build literacy skills. Assuring powerful positive effects on members by: strengthening their motivation to learn, promoting their academic achievement and fostering their growth as caring and principled human beings. West Area Director: Full-time Exempt - Manages overall daily operations of the BGCT Montara Unit & four USD 437 primary schools’ before/afterschool and summer programs. Primary focus will be on management of program staff and volunteers. Additional duties include: building and maintaining collaborative relationships with USD 437 personnel, Club families and membership administration. BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS PART TIME EMPLOYMENT                    

District Tutor: Part-time Non-Exempt - Assist Club members individually or in small groups to help them improve their academic skills. District tutors may also help Club members develop study skills and organization techniques to help improve their academic performance. This may be done in a group setting during Power Hour, or other various program hours. Tutors must often keep reports on club member and may share those reports with supervisors, teachers and parents. In addition to the academic component, tutors are responsible for supervising groups of Club members, providing discipline and serving as a role model. A full description can be found here:  District Tutor

Youth Development Leader: Part-time Non-Exempt - Responsible for implementation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 5-18 and that prepares youth for success and creates a Club environment that facilitates achievement of 1) Positive Self Identity 2) Health & Well-being 3) Positive Values 4) Commitment to Learning 5) Social Competency & 6) Community & Civic Involvement. A full description can be found here:  Youth Development Leader

Site Coordinator: Part-time Non-Exempt - Act as the key contact person for parents, staff, teachers, principal, etc at the assigned BGCT site.  Manage initial response in crisis situations and contact Area Director as needed.  Provide regular clerical and administrative support to the Area Director. Prepares correspondence and reports, maintains schedule and calendar, answers telephones and maintains electronic and hard copy files. Coordinates, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific site, such as Power Hour, Project Learn, Torch Club, Smart Moves, and Triple Play. A full job description can be found here: Site Coordintor

Membership Coordinator: Part-time Non-Exempt - Ensures that membership opportunities with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka are known throughout the community, school sector and industry, especially targeting those youths who need us most. Maintains an accurate accounting of membership, status, program involvement, and profile status including necessary reporting of National Youth Outcomes Initiatives (NYOI). Facilitates the orientation of new Club members to Club, Extension and all branch locations and provides ongoing monitoring and assessment of Club member satisfaction. A full job description can be found here: Membership Coordinator
