Vice President of Operations

Full-time Exempt

The BGCT Vice President of Development is a leader in organizational development support by providing high level strategic leadership and guidance to drive systemic change and results. By leading a high performing team of Club Directors to the next level, this position ensures quality execution of all grant deliverables. This position also evaluates and adapts a comprehensive strategy that ensures Club performance increases year after year at each Club site location and ensures that the safety and protection of youth is the number one priority.

  • Bachelor's degree, in business or related discipline, from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization in operations management and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience in leading diverse work teams, developing an organization-wide strategy for program excellence, engaging community partners, and partnering with a CEO and Board of Directors
  • Demonstrates integrity, strives for excellence in his/her work, and has experience leading others to new levels of effectiveness and programmatic impact.

Business Office Assistant

Full-time Non-Exempt

The BGCT Business Office Assistant is a kind and courteous face for the company whose work consists of supporting membership and the business office, using a variety of project management, communication, and organizational skills. Accurate and efficient management of BGCT Membership System is a critical function of the position. Also provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and project support.

  • High School Graduate
  • 5 years experience in an office environment
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft suite of products
  • Minimum 2 years experience with A/P and A/R

Human Resource Manager

Full-time Non-Exempt

The BGCT Human Resource Manager provides the administrative foundation for daily operations, accountability, and routine representation of Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka. This individual will perform a variety of responsible and complex technical and administrative duties relating to personnel functions, including areas of recruitment, workers compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations. They will also be expected to educate and assist BGCT employees and the public regarding human resource activities, policies, and procedures.

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent, plus 2 year college or specialized training composed of work in business, personnel management, payroll, or closely related fields. Significant related experience may substitute for education.

Adams Club Site Coordinator

Full-time Non-Exempt

The Site Coordinator at the BGCT Adams Club is the main contact person for parents and staff. They are the first person to take care of difficult situations or accidents as soon as they happen and make immediate contact with the Club Director. This role also helps with office duties for the Club Director, such as preparing written documents and reports, entering daily attendance, answering the Site phone, and maintaining electronic and hard copy files. They will also coordinate, supervise, and ensure programs are operated as scheduled.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of youth development
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
  • Strong customer service skills, and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to lead, influence, and inspire others

Janitor - Montara Unit

Part-time Non-Exempt

The Montara Unit Janitor is responsible for keeping the interior and grounds of the Montara Unit clean and in an orderly and safe condition. The janitor will complete tasks necessary to make the Club and the premises hygienic, sanitary, and clean. They shall perform minor repair work to restore the building's interior if there are damanges. The janitor will also perform heavy cleaning duties that address the goal of providing the safest and healthiest Club environment possible for our Club members.

  • Must have 2 years of prior experience in the care and cleaning of buildings and property.

Bus/Van Driver

Part-time Non-Exempt

The BGCT Bus/Van Driver is responsible for safely operating the BGCT bus, transporting Club members in a professional and responsible way, and represents self as a positive, caring, respectful role model for Club members and general public.

  • Must have a clear/clean Class 3 driver's license with a bus endorsement
  • Must be able to pass a criminal records background check

Certified Teacher

Part-time Non-Exempt

Part-time Non-Exempt
Responsible for implementation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 5-12 and that prepares youth for success and creates a Club environment that facilitates achievement of

Must be available between the hours of 7:00am - 9:00am Monday thru Friday.

School Year Afternoon Youth Development Leader

Responsible for implementation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 5-12 and that prepares youth for success and creates a Club environment that facilitates achievement of

Site Coordinator 2

Part-time Non-Exempt
Act as the key contact person for parents, staff, teachers, principal, etc at the assigned BGCT site. Manage initial response in crisis situations and contact Area Director as needed. Provide regular clerical and administrative support to the Area Director. Prepares correspondence and reports, maintains schedule and calendar, answers telephones and maintains electronic and hard copy files. Coordinates, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific site, such as Power Hour, Project Learn, Torch Club, Smart Moves, and Triple Play.

School Year Youth Development Leader/Impact Coach

Part-time Non-Exempt
Responsible for implementation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 13-18 years old and that prepares youth for success and creates a club environment that facilitates achievement of
